I have always found eating icy poles and ice creams something that needed to be done in private as the method my sensitive teeth have forced me to undertake is quite embarrassing. I will share it with you, but please don't laugh... I would have to cover my teeth with my lips to break off a small piece, then with extreme caution mash the small piece against the roof of my mouth with my tongue. If the unthinkable happened and a piece escaped this production and touched my tooth I would have to contort my face into the expression of someone who is eating a very spikey lemon. (I don't know why - it seemed to help with the pain?) I tried Sensodyne, not really expecting a huge difference. Lucky, because on the weekend a friend bought an ice cream for me. I decided to give it a go and had my spikey lemon face ready but surprise surprise, no pain. In fact for the first time in my life I was able to bite into the chocolate coating with no fear of the cold cold ice cream inside! I will definitely continue to use Sensodyne as I like the taste and the feel of the toothpaste. A friend of mine who also has to eat ice cream in private has heard about my success and is already trying the product herself! Before you know it, we will be out eating ice cream together!! Now if only Sensodyne could find a way to negate the calories in all this ice cream!!!

2 months ago I started to get pain in one of my molars. I had pain from eating hot foods, cold foods (tomato), sweets (jubes and chocolate), hot drinks (my morning latte :( )and cold drinks!! After several trips to the dentist fearing a hole and after several x-rays. My dentist pin-pointed my pain as sensitivity due to over brushing on a certain tooth. He suggested I use a sensitive toothpaste. After using Sensodyne for only 1 week I noticed a considerable difference!! I always thought that my sensitive teeth was something everyone endured so never made a big deal of it. After using Sensodyne for a couple of weeks I started to notice the temperature of food wasn't affecting my teeth as much. I was actually able to eat some ice-cream cake at my nephews birthday, and it tasted so very yummy! I bought the Sensodyne Total Whitening as that was all that was available in the small size. It was good but I do prefer the Gentle Whitening. Sensodyne has had a really positive effect on my teeth over the 10 or so years I've been using it. Hot or cold is no problem, nor is sweet. I will continue to use Sensodyne Gentle Whitening, and would recommend it to anybody else who complains of sensitivity. It is a great product that proves its claims true.

There is so much variety in Sensodyne that it covers the full requirement spectrum of a toothpaste. I suffer from one tooth having a receding gum line which is a constant discomfort as well as sensitivity to cold. I also visited my dentist and she painted a solution onto two of my teeth that had become really sensitive. This was due to my changing my toothbrush to a hard bristle. I can tell in about two days when I have run out of sensodyne. My teeth cannot take cold or hot and I have to go out and stock up on sensodyne. I have used both toothbrush and paste for years. The only thing I see wrong with the product range is that you only have two colours of toothbrushes. For a family that is more than two it gets very confusing who's brush is who. Best thing I have found is the reliability and continuous reduction of pain. My friends well they are getting converted.

I actually used it accidentally. I had forgotten my toothpaste and my friend gave me Sensodyne so I used it for 4 days. Then I got back and a couple of months later I was eating a carrot straight from the fridge and I got an incredible pain in my tooth which wouldn't go away. It is a known fact that Sensodyne has reduced the sensitivity of my teeth. I was using it previously and decided to try another brand, within a week my teeth were reacting to hot and cold food and drinks, and I like drinking cold water so I had to go straight back to my trusted Sensodyne. Within a week of using it again, I was sculling cold water and eating ice cream with no dilemmas at all. I will not bother using any other brand and now Sensodyne has a range of varieties so that if I feel like a change I will just swap to one of the other versions. I believe the version that I am currently using, Total Care, covers all aspects of benefits that you would get from using different brands of toothpastes, and the others in the range give you even more benefits. I personally like to alternate with them for a change. I always recommend Sensodyne to my friends and family, I tell them I can enjoy eating and drinking what I like without having the cringe that comes with painful sensitive teeth. Finally, I would like to say Sensodyne covers all of my needs. I can't stop raving about the product it has really done wonders for me, and has relieved what use to be a very uncomfortable problem.
